During this year of Canada 150 and Cocagne 250 celebrations, the Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group is requesting your input.

We are looking for stories about food. Whether it is food production, processing or eating, we want to hear your stories. You can decide to share something you’ve learned from your parents or something you’ve discovered on your own. We want to gather what is part of our heritage, our own history.
Some examples :

‘’Supposedly blue potatoes are the best potatoes to eat with salt herring!’’
‘’My grandfather grew ‘Scarlet Runner Beans’. I have always planted these and have seed to share.’’
‘’I always make my grandmother’s clam chowder recipe. Happy to give you the recipe.’’
‘’The first greens we eat in the spring are dandelion greens’’

You most certainly have some of these traditional and family knowledge gems that we would so love to know about and share with others.
Please let us know if you are interested in helping us grow our local knowledge bank. We could meet with you, talk over the phone, exchange emails, photos or videos… Any way is good!
Thank you for sharing this message
We are looking forward to hearing from you
