New Brunswick - The authors of the Transition Pact (June 2020) offer us 101 ideas for recovery, including ideas against food waste (in French).

They inform us that "reducing the production and consumption of meat and animal products as well as reducing food waste are the two most significant actions to be taken to rapidly reduce the ecological footprint of the agrifood system" (p.60). For the month of July, it is the theme of local food that inspires us. For this reason, we would like to know your tips for avoiding food waste.

In this way, you participate in the reduction of GHGs due to food waste and you are committed to social justice. Waridel et al. tell us about the situation in Canada: "According to exhaustive research conducted on behalf of the Toronto organization Second Harvest, 58% of our food production never reaches our stomachs. 18 From producer to consumer, the value of groceries that end up in compost or landfill is estimated at nearly $ 50 billion, which generates the equivalent of 56.5 million tonnes of CO2.19 Most of this food waste could however be avoided. " If you want to share actions to avoid food waste, please answer our short survey (1 to 2 min).
