Cocagne
Collaboration among several organizations on the east coast of New Brunswick has ensured the success of the Living Shorelines workshop, a natural method for managing coastal erosion. The coastal restoration projects took place in Caraquet on August 24, behind the Super 8 avenue du Carrefour, and in Cocagne, on August 26 at the Cocagne Marina.
Congratulations to the 40 participants of the workshop in Cocagne, who put more than 250 hours collectively towards the restoration project and contributed to the planting of more than 600 plants. It is thanks to the collective efforts that the work led to such great results. Visit our Facebook page to see some images of our work.
The success of the workshops is thanks to the passion and dedication of Rosmarie Lohnes and her team at Helping Nature Heal. By applying a restoration strategy that favors nature, they encourage the conservation of local biodiversity.
