Workshops, demonstrations, booths, music, a documentary, an exhibition and tasty discoveries on August 7 and 8
BEAUSOLEIL, N.B. — La Ferme Marcel-Goguen will come alive on Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8 as the Natural Fibre Festival Les Couleurs du Pays, organized by the Groupe de développement durable du Pays de Cocagne, invites the public to celebrate local colours, natural textiles and community know-how.
In a warm and inspiring atmosphere, the event will highlight natural textile practices, plant-based dyes, local creativity and traditions connected to the raw materials of the region.

Hello dear gardeners,
Communauté rurale Beausoleil and Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group would like to thank the participants of the Living Shorelines ShoreUp workshop hosted by Helping Nature Heal which took place August 26 to August 28, 2025 at the Notre Centre de Grande-Digue. With over 200 hours of collective time, participants succeeded in planting over 200 plants and installing about 100 meters of wattle fence!

Cocagne - One of our most active volunteers within our group, Louis-Émile Cormier, was featured in a Radio-Canada newspaper article last week. The article highlights the various actions that Louis-Émile has taken to improve the health of tree swallows, ospreys, and monarch butterflies.

The Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group, the Shediac Bay Watershed Association and Vision H2O of Cap-Acadie have partnered to organize the Living shorelines hands-on workshop. The workshop, held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at the Cocagne Marina, focused on natural beach restoration.


The Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group (GDDPC) invites you to take part in a hands-on workshop presented by Rosmarie Lohnes of Helping Nature Heal. The workshop will be held on Tuesday August 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Cocagne Community Park, adjacent to the Cocagne Marina, 130 Marina Street, Cocagne NB.

The Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group (GDDPC) invites you to take part in a virutal presentation by Rosmarie Lohnes of Helping Nature Heal followed by a hands-on workshop on Living Shorelines. The workshop will be held on Tuesday June 28 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Cocagne Community Park, adjacent to the Cocagne Marina, 130 Marina Street, Cocagne.
Cocagne – The Cocagne Community Park has won a Greener Greenspaces recognition award from The Society for Organic Urban Land Care.

Collaboration among several organizations on the east coast of New Brunswick has ensured the success of the Living Shorelines workshop, a natural method for managing coastal erosion. The coastal restoration projects took place in Caraquet on August 24, behind the Super 8 avenue du Carrefour, and in Cocagne, on August 26 at the Cocagne Marina.
