The Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group (GDDPC) invites you to take part in a virutal presentation by Rosmarie Lohnes of Helping Nature Heal followed by a hands-on workshop on Living Shorelines. The workshop will be held on Tuesday June 28 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Cocagne Community Park, adjacent to the Cocagne Marina, 130 Marina Street, Cocagne.
Cocagne – The Cocagne Community Park has won a Greener Greenspaces recognition award from The Society for Organic Urban Land Care.

Cocagne
Collaboration among several organizations on the east coast of New Brunswick has ensured the success of the Living Shorelines workshop, a natural method for managing coastal erosion. The coastal restoration projects took place in Caraquet on August 24, behind the Super 8 avenue du Carrefour, and in Cocagne, on August 26 at the Cocagne Marina.

Cocagne - Since the beginning of October 2019, several students from Cocagne, Grande-Digue and Notre-Dame schools have been planting trees on their schoolyard and in the community in collaboration with the Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group (PCSDG).

Cocagne - This summer during Acadian World Congress in Cocagne, more than 60 people visited the PCSDG booth at the marina of Cocagne. People shared with us their concerns and advice regarding the changing climate. These comments will inform the climate change adaptation plan for the Cocagne watershed. In addition, visitors have discovered Monarch butterflies in caterpillar, chrysalis and adult form.

Cocagne - There was a natural dyeing workshop where we created natural dye and tried in on diffrents types of fabric. This workshop took place at the Marcel Goguen farm in Cocagne on June 8, 2019. Several people participated in this colorful activity. This is the first activity in the "Colors of the Country" project.
