When: Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 12 PM (June 30 in case of rain)
Where: Cocagne Trail, meeting at Centre 50

Come and walk the Cocagne Trail to identify butterflies. Last year, more than 17 different species of butterflies were identified! Bring your butterfly guides; we will also have some guides to lend. Louis-Émile Cormier, our butterfly expert, will also be with us during the walk!
The Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group (GDDPC) and the Marcel Goguen Farm invite you to participate in the breaking of flax.

When: Saturday, July 6th (July 7th in case of rain) from 9 AM to 3 PM
Where: At Marcel Goguen Farm, 475 Cocagne South Road.

This is not a workshop but a work session to separate flax fibers from the straw. There will be two brakes that people can use to crush the flax stems. There will also be other tools to remove the straw, for scutching and combing the flax fibers. Participants should bring their own snacks, lunch, and work gloves. Claire Gagnon will also give a spinning demonstration!
The Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group invites you to participate in its wicker basket weaving workshop.

When: September 7 and 8, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Marcel Goguen Farm, 475 Cocagne Sud Road

Come create your own wicker basket! The cost is $110 for the training and materials. You need to bring your lunch, a penknife, a spray bottle of water, and a piece of wood for the handle. Each participant will have the chance to make a round basket with willow rods in a variety of colors (as shown in the photo). Professionals will be there to show you how to do it. You must be present for both days to complete your basket.
