Capture Pluvier siffleur 2017
Young banded Piping Plover - AX   (seen on the Bouctouche Dune on August 15th 2017)

As Piping Plovers will  start to arrive in Atlantic Canada for the 2018 breeding season, we look forward to a productive summer and would like to share results from the 2017 season in southeastern NB.

Please find here a breakdown of Piping Plover numbers, breeding success, threats, and stewardship indicators by beach in south east NB. As you will see, Piping Plovers produced many young in 2017; and, the population of breeding pairs (10) was an encouraging increase compared to 2016 (6 pairs).
