Life begins with a seed and almost all life on the planet depends on seeds. Our food strongly depends, as 9 of 10 bites start with seeds. Unfortunately, hybrid seeds which are mainly sold, do not allow seed security because they are not sustainable on the long term.
The Seed for life committee wants to improve seed and food security (see our activities). We want to educate and raise awareness towards open-pollinated seeds that ensure our human survival since hundreds of years and longer. We believe that these seeds are better adapted to their microclimate and adapt better to climate change.
We are a group that promotes exchanges between beginners and experienced gardeners. You are invited to our 10th meeting, Monday, Sept. 5, 2016, from 9:30 am to 11 am at the office of PCSDG.
