The Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group (GDDPC) invites you to take part in a virutal presentation by Rosmarie Lohnes of Helping Nature Heal followed by a hands-on workshop on Living Shorelines. The workshop will be held on Tuesday June 28 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Cocagne Community Park, adjacent to the Cocagne Marina, 130 Marina Street, Cocagne.

Helping Nature Heal uses materials from nature, advanced science and ecosystem restoration expertise to restore vegetation and to help stabilize shorelines.

Evaluating and maintaining a Living Shorelines project

The objective of the workshop is to understand the process for analyzing the state of the Living Shorelines project undertaken at the Cocagne Community Park in 2021. Participants will have the opportunity to learn by carrying out maintenance work on various zones: rain garden, berms of trees and shrubs, flower beds and a naturalized coastal rock wall
