Transition Cocagne was a group of citizens that organising activities to increase local resilience to peak oil and climate change. Transition Cocagne is a member of the international Transition Towns Network [transitionnetwork.org] . The Cocagne community was the first in the province of New Brunswick to become a member of the international Transition Towns Network. Our website at www.transitioncocagne.org


Our mission
  • Find local solutions to reduce our dependency on fossil energies and carbon emissions.
  • Improve and rebuild community resilience, i.e. its capacity to resist the shocks associated with peak oil and climate change, through the improvement by becoming more self sufficient in areas such as food and energy production while revitalizing our economy and reducing our impact on the environment.
