Cocagne - The Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group, in collaboration with the Cocagne Emergency Measures Planning Committee is selling 72-hour Emergency Kits for the citizens of Cocagne.

The Climate Change Adaptation Plan recently adopted by the Cocagne Municipal Council encourages citizens to prepare for an increase in adverse weather conditions. The Cocagne Emergency Measures Planning Committee, in accordance with the Red Cross, recommends keeping an emergency kit with sufficient supplies (water, food) to provide for at least 72 hours (3 days) in the event of a long-term power outage.

The value of the kit is approximately 125$. Thanks to a contribution from the New Brunswick Environmental Trust Fund and the John Lyons Foundation of Shediac, the purchase price is reduced to 75$.

View the LIST and PHOTOS of the items in the kit. Visit the Facebook page of GDDPC, EMO-Cocagne and the Rural Community of Cocagne to view a video of the contents of the kit. You can also view and buy a kit at the GDDPC office at 118 Cormier Cross Rd in Cocagne. Please call first at 506-576-8247.  Payment is made by cash or by check payable to the GDDPC when obtaining the kit.
