Our School Tree Nursery project was a great success this year and its reach extended beyond the borders of the Cocagne watershed!

Nearly 800 young indigenous trees were planted and 240 students from 6 local schools participated: Blanche-Bourgeois, Notre-Dame, Grande-Digue, Calixte-F.-Savoie, Shediac Cape and Mgr-François-Bourgeois. The youth’s efforts contributed to the conservation and sustainability of the next generations of indigenous trees.

Here is what they planted in the tree nurseries this year:

- Red maple
- Red oak
- Yellow birch
- Balsam fir
- Black spruce
- White pine
