The order of species of the list below follows that of the Peterson Field Guide to Birds.

The province of NB has listed 406 (2004) bird species In the Cocagne watershed, 218 species have been recorded to date (2009). We welcome your comments and your observations, thus helping further our knowledge.

The photo above shows the Great Blue Heron, a very common resident and nesting coastal colonial bird in Cocagne. In 2006, 219 nests were counted.

November 9th: Commemoration of war veterans’ native of Cocagne

Thursday, November 9th – 7:00 pm

The Historical Committee will be presenting a commemoration in honor of Cocagne citizens who served in World War I of 1914-1918 and in World War II of 1939-1945. List of War Veterans, recruitment of soldiers in Cocagne, and more.

Free admission – Donations are welcome.
