The Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group (GDDPC) is happy to share the results of the hands-on workshop presented by Helping Nature Heal. The workshop was held on Tuesday August 23 2022 at the Cocagne Community Park, adjacent to the Cocagne Marina.

The objective of the workshop was to learn how to implement the naturalization of a coastal rock wall to protect against erosion accentuated by climate change. While planting approximately 50 shrubs and 250 grasses, participants became familiar with planting methods suitable for coastal sites.

A big thank you to Vision H20 and Shediac Bay Watershed Association for their help. And a special thanks to Helping Nature Help for their guidance in designing and implementing the project.

This initiative is made possible by the New Brunswick Environmental Trust Fund, the New Brunswick Wildlife Trust Fund, Nature NB, and the Rural Community of Cocagne.
