The Pays de Cocagne Sustainable Development Group (PCSDG) in collaboration with the Cocagne 250th Committee, and the Elsipogtog First Nation Band Council, warmly invite you to the first edition of the Mi’kmaw-Acadian Friendship Pow Wow. In light of its theme, « Honouring Our Grandchildren For A Sustainable Future », Mi’kmaq grandchildren will be honoured on their traditional territory during a special ceremony. Furthermore, this festive gathering will highlight the Mi’kmaw Nation’s contribution towards the survival of the Acadian people. The event is a recognition of Cocagne’s 250th year anniversary program and will be held outdoors (weather permitting), between the Cocagne arena and marina (130, Marina rd.), on Saturday, June 10th. Traditional dance, drum, song and feast will be featured throughout the day. The event is free and everyone is welcome!
